Hand-beaded by the indigenous Huichol community from the north of Mexico, the straps on the Bum Bag (aka Fanny Pack) take 5 days to make. Once completed, Truss brings the straps to Oaxaca where they are attached to the handwoven body along with all the trimmings at their all female workshop.
The Bum Bag has a 3-step adjustable leather strap, meaning you can either wear as fanny pack or string it high across your chest like a cross-body.
Proceeds from your purchase aids in the development of artisan communities in Mexico and Truss' work with the womens education foundation Fondo Guadalupe Musalem.
